In 1996, the Academy of American Poets created National Poetry Month. Since then, it has been held every April, and is "the largest literary celebration in the world with schools, publishers, libraries, booksellers, and poets celebrating poetry's vital place in our culture."

In honor of this wonderful celebration, this week's newsletter is dedicated to National Poetry Month. See how other Edubloggers are taking part in the celebration, and discover great ideas, resources, and poems in the posts below. Enjoy!
