We're happy to roll out two new tools that we think are huge for student and course blogging. These features are available now on both free and Pro Edublogs and will be added to all CampusPress networks next week.
 
Take A Road Trip Using A Green Screen

Using a few apps -- Comic Life, Green Screen, LayerPic HD, and the built-in Maps app -- students were able to create a one page comic about their "trip."  They included information about each location which describes the importance of the place.  They also selected a vehicle to travel in and created a map, using the vehicle as a symbol for where they stopped.  Check out the post to see an example and directions on how to use the apps they used.

Emily Paschall has been using Voki's talking avatars as part of the learning her students are doing in their Digital Passport Initiative. She thinks it's time you learned how to use a Voki on your blog as well. The post includes a YouTube video showing you how to add a Voki speaking avatar to your blog.

Telling The Story Of Our School!

As a principal, Todd Bloomer, "realized that each opportunity that I had to interact with the community was a chance to tell the story of [his] school."  Besides weekly emails to parents letting them know what's happening at the school, he has started many other outreach initiatives. In this post he looks to start a discussion about how school leaders are telling their schools' stories.
